Templates

In some cases, you want and need a simple way to inject an existing structure into a new document. For instance when creating your character-profiles.

Templates help you create documents for re-use. They are created as any other document and can be stored in the “Template sheets” folder.

Creating a new template sheet

Right click on the folder in which you want to create a template sheet.

Select “Template” as document type and click on “Add template” or “Add and edit” to start adding content.

Editing a template

Template sheets are presented in a popup-editor. A template itself is nothing more than a document for specific (re) use, marked as “template”.

Click on the template name in the navigation-menu to open the template document.

You can put anything in your template as you like. In the example above, you will see an outline for a character sheet, using heading-styles per topic and a short description in italics to clarify what is expected or needed.

Finding a template to use in your document

Open your document.

Click on the template-icon in the side-panel, to see the list of all templates in your project.

Select a template from the list.

This will open the preview below.

Adding the template text to your document

To insert the template in your document, click on “(insert text) at top” or “(ïnsert text) at bottom”. Existing text will not be erased.
